How To Commission
Please contact me through e-mail from this page.
Specify the type of illustration you're interested in and include any important information such as references, details, and the overall idea for the artwork. For pose and background, I can go off description.
If you have a special need that is not listed, we can always discuss it.
I don't take payment until after the sketch has been approved by you. If you have any corrections to the pose, I will correct it here.
I will send updates throughout the whole process. This is to ensure your continuous approval. Corrections are welcome, however major changes that deviate from the original sketch come at an additional cost.
It may take 2-3 days for me to respond. My waiting list does not usually exceed 1-2 months. Once I start a commission, it takes 1-4 weeks to finish. I keep my clients updated on my schedule to avoid any surprises.
Important Notes
Reference(s) of character(s) should be from different angles and in neutral lighting. If the references are of poor quality, it will be difficult for me to illustrate the correct colours and details.
You may also use face claims, photos or previously commissioned pieces, but be sure to tell me of any additional details, changes, or deviations.
Please send the references by making a .pdf file or by uploading the images to imgur.com and sending me the link. I do not accept .zip files, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

Terms of Service
Copyright
I, Eldenscale (previously NihilAzari), retain full ownership and copyright of the commissioned artwork, and as such reserve the right to use it for my own portfolio, advertisement and prints. I do not reserve the right to the characters portrayed in the artwork, only the artwork itself. If you want to keep the artwork private, it can be discussed during the first step of the commission.
You, as the customer, may use your commissioned artwork for personal use only and may publish and use it anywhere with due credit to the artist; such as forums, blogs, avatars, emojis, icons, etc. You may create personal prints, but are not allowed to sell them or otherwise make a profit off of them. Commercial use must be agreed upon beforehand and has an additional fee (usually double pricing).
You may not edit or change the commissioned artwork, nor are you allowed to remove the watermark. You may not claim ownership of the piece, only the characters portrayed in it.
Pricing and Payment
The total estimated price of the commission may be discussed prior to the initial sketch upon request. In some cases, the intial sketch is required to be finished before an accurate estimation may be made. You have full right to cancel the commission without a fee during this process.
All payments go through ko-fi or PayPal invoices in euros (€). Though the initial sketch is free, I do not start any work in earnest until the payment has been paid in full. Should you not be able to pay the invoice at a certain time, a deadline may be agreed upon when the invoice must be paid. After the deadline, I will cancel the commission.
Should you, the customer, cause the completion of the commissioned artwork to take longer than estimated due to corrections, addition requests or otherwise, you may be subject to additional costs. These will be discussed before any changes are made so that you may reconsider.
Any delay to the completion of the commissioned artwork caused by myself, the artist, will not result in any additional fees on your side, nor will you be reimbursed for the delay.
Refund Policy
I reserve the right to decline any commission. Should you already have paid the commission fee and I can't finish it, you will be fully refunded.
If you decide to cancel a commission, you must let me know as soon as possible. If you cancel while on the waiting list or during the initial sketch, there will be no extra fee, and you will be fully refunded.
Should you cancel the commission after the payment, I will keep a rough estimate of the price according to how much work I have already put into the commission.
No refund will be given after the completion of the commission.
Refunds can take up to 14 days to go through.
When you commission me, be aware that you agree to these terms.
